A really interesting advert by Air New Zealand aired on TV over the past month. Haven’t personally seen it on TV as yet since our TV is usually stuck on the kids’ channels.
What’s interesting is that the ‘stars’ in the commercial and safety video were all staff of Air New Zealand. I must admit they are definitely very brave folks to ‘bare’ all.
Wonderful stop motion video, using 6000 post-it notes, by Bang-yao Liu, a student from the Savannah College of Art and Design. The video took 3 months to plan and 4 days to film. And I’m sure countless days of editing. The premise of the video that we are always surrounded by some deadline or other and how do we keep track of these deadlines? By post-it notes of course (though some of us rather use electric means of recording).
Apple just launched 3 new “Get a Mac” ads today. This is in response to the recent spate of Microsoft ads that have been aired recently. You can see the whole series through the official Microsoft Youtube page.
My personal favourite is the “Elimination” ad. The other two ads are titled “Customer Care” and “PC Choice Chat”.
Very interesting that Obama and Biden dropped by a burger joint near the White House to get some burgers. And when the owner offered them a free lunch, Obama said he didn’t want people in the restaurant to say that he was a freeloader. Quite funny! :)
The music video is produced by Playing for Change. It is a beautifully edited video of buskers from around the world performing the song “Stand By Me”.
Playing for Change is a group of people who have come together to help “inspire, connect, and bring peace to the world through music”. They will be launching a CD and DVD (titled “Playing for Change: Peace Through Music”) on 28 April and together with that a new website. So, go on and visit the Playing for Change website to have a look and maybe even participate!
