Well, I've got to agree with you totally. I think of all the matches over the weekend, I only watched 3 matches. Couldn't be bothered with watching Boro and Blackburn or West Ham and Man City.

And let's all hope that the Football Channel will make huge improvements in presentation as well as the other side shows. Doesn't help much when only the Football Channel has pre-game, half-time and full-time commentaries whereas the other 2 channels that had games on only had documentaries during half-time. Yah ... definitely missing John Dykes and his crazy gang.

I think I changed channels when it was half-time and switched off the TV after the game. Previously, I would have left it on to watch the half-time and post-game commentaries.

One other thing: Can't stand them calling it BPL rather than EPL.

Agree with you totally. We are definitely also paying more for much less.
Sure there will be more matches shown live but how many will watch the lesser teams trash out with each other especially early in the season?

Having seen the first edition of the new Football Channel, I have to say I'm missing Dykes and the rest of the crazy gang already. I think not many people (bar the purists) realize that it's the commentary and other side shows that makes football watching a complete experience.

What sucks is that the recap at the end of the program only shows goals from barely a third of the total matches played... totally disappointing just like Spurs' today...
