Myers Briggs Type Indicator (MBTI)

Will of Marketing Results Blog just did a Myers Briggs Type Indicator (MBTI) test. Have heard of the test quite a while back, but never attempted to classify myself.

However, decided to do it on whim, and have been classified as ISFP. ISFPs “belong to the Artisan temperament and are called “Composers”“. Well, I do think it’s matches my personality somewhat. What do those who know me think?

You can do the test as well to find out about your personality type.

Update - 19 December 2006: Well, I did another test and am diagnosed to be a INFP instead though it’s quite similar to ISFP. Guess it really depends on the mood you’re in when you’re doing the test. INFPs are known as “The Dreamers”, which I guess I am. :P

Here’s a good advice on goal-setting from LifeDev about the 90-Day Rule.

If you’re not thinking about where you want to be 90 days from now, you’ll never end up there.

I think I really need to sit down and start planning what I want to do. I should then set about achieving a goal a day so that I’ll see the benefits in 90 days’ time.

Note to self: Need to procrastinate less and just do it. :P

Haze worsens in Singapore

This photo was taken a couple of days back. And it was already quite bad. Just read about the PSI hitting 143 this morning. Guess a good idea to stay indoors.

Hotel Fire Alarm!!

by Isaak Kwok on September 21, 2006

in Personal

Just had a real drama. The hotel’s fire alarm went off and everyone was asked to evacuate the building. We went down in just our pajamas and nothing else. Thankfully it was not a real fire, but someone had either been smoking in their room toilet or burning some stuff (according to what I had overheard from the staff).

Update: Anyway, am back safely in the hotel room. But now having a hard time putting Matthew back to bed.

Drinking Water or Green Tea

by Isaak Kwok on September 15, 2006

Here’s a blog post, Ten reasons to drink more water, on the importance of drinking enough water everyday. But you might not have to follow what has always been said about the need to drink at least 8 glasses of water everyday if you read and believe this. Do note that both links are not scientifically proven and it’s really up to you who you want to believe. For me, I still believe in the notion of drinking at least 8 glasses of water everyday. Maybe because I’ve been brought up with that kind of constant reinforcement of drinking enough water per day.

On a related matter to drinking water, it’s reported on BBC News that Japanese researchers have found that drinking green tea can cut the risk of dying from a range of illnesses substantially. However, it must noted that this could also be due to the whole Japanese diet, which is much healthier than a western one, rather than just consuming green tea. The studies shows that the benefits of drinking green tea seems to be greater in women. Hmmm … maybe I should move on to a total Japanese diet as the Japanese seems to have the lowest rate of heart disease in the world. Hmmm … time to go have my sashimi, sushi, udon, soba, or bento. :)
