- Fish oil urged for heart patients
If you’re a heart attack patient, then it might be a good idea to go ask your doctor to prescribe oily fish or omega-3 fatty acid supplements as researchers have shown that it is an effective way to cut the risk of further attacks.

- Fish oil, exercise to fight the flab
Besides reducing the risk of future heart attacks, fish oil is also found to be of use in losing weight. Researchers from the University of South Australia that overweight fat can be reduced with a combination of consuming fish oil and sufficient exercise. They found that just taking 6g of fish oil a day coupled with 45 minutes of walking for three times a week resulted in the best results. Think time for me to go get some fish oil supplements.

- Magnets ‘help regrow brain cells’
Think I’ll need to go get some magnets for my brain if a US research proves to be accurate. According to the US scientists, a magnetic stimulus to the part of the brain that’s associated with memory promoted the growth of new neurons in the brains of test mice. They hope this research will lead to treatments for Alzheimer’s.

Why would the doctor have to “prescribe” a fish oil supplement? There is one out there but it is not necessarily significantly better than what you can get over the counter – just more expensive. Get a basic one like this and take it faithfully to get the results: http://www.vitabase.com/supplements/essential-fatty-acids/maxepaomega3.aspx

Thanks, Matt.

Yah … you’re right. We can just buy it from the nearest pharmacy. I saw some at the drugstore near my place.
